<image:title>Events - Annual Conference 2025 Held In Mind: Celebrating Babies Through Reflective Practice - Dr. Dorian Traube</image:title>
<image:caption>Dorian Traube is the Neidorff Family and Centene Corporation Dean of the Brown School and a professor. Previously, Traube was a professor in the Suzanne Dworak Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California. Traube developed Parents as Teachers@USC Telehealth, the first partnership of its kind between a national home visitation model and a university-based telehealth clinic. In doing so, she also established the first virtual home visitation program, offering a reliable home visitation model via video conferencing technology. This program was chosen as a Named Commitment by the Clinton Global Initiative and was selected the winner of the Gary Community Investment/OpenIDEO Early Childhood Innovation Prize. The program was scaled from offering 1,000 home visits in 2016-2019 to offering 600,000 virtual home visits in 2020. On the workforce development side, the program initially trained 25 home visitors in virtual service delivery strategies and scaled to 12,000 home visitors by 2020. Traube’s research into the telehealth program laid the foundation for a multimillion-dollar award from the Heising-Simons Foundation to make virtual home visitation available nationally during the COVID-19 crisis. Traube’s research agenda focuses on the utilization of technological solutions to provide early childhood health, education and parent support services. She has expertise in children’s mental health, child maltreatment prevention, family support interventions and home visitation. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Parsons Foundation, Queenscare Foundation, and the Overdeck Foundation. Traube serves on the Board of Directors for Good Shepard School, Youth in Need, the Research Advisory Council for Parents as Teachers, and the Hermann Center Institutional Advisory Board. Traube earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her master and doctoral degrees in social work from Columbia University. She is a licensed clinical social worker in California and New York.</image:caption>

<image:title>Events - Annual Conference 2025 Held In Mind: Celebrating Babies Through Reflective Practice - Steve Zwolak</image:title>
<image:caption>Steve Zwolak is Executive Director of “beTOGETHER” and Emeritus of University City Children's Center and LUME Institute. He has 56 years of experience as a student of children, tirelessly advancing and advocating for early childhood. Steve’s years as a classroom teacher and leader in the field of early childhood enabled him to build the LUME Approach to education, which focuses on Emotionally Responsive Teaching. The Approach emphasizes that the emotional development of children is critical to a child’s future success. In addition, there is preliminary evidence that his work has the potential in closing the racial and socioeconomic achievement gap. We know the foundation for diversity, inclusion and equity are embedded in the emotional development of children in the first three years of life. Steve teaches teachers that there is a major watershed from 0 - 5 years of age, where children must begin to socialize their internal understanding of diversity, inclusion and equity to make it an embedded way of life. Steve believes that if children are physically safe, they will feel emotionally safe, and then they can take social risk as they feel socially safe and finally they will be confident in their own competencies to take academic risk. “All learning happens in relationships”. Steve has been recognized locally, regionally and nationally for his work with children, families and educators. He is a storyteller and loves to PLAY!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Stacy Kelsey, PsyD Dr. Stacy Kelsey, is the owner of Brainworks Pediatric Group and works as a neuroscience coach, consultant, and national trainer. Dr. Kelsey focuses on the cognitive, relational, social, and emotional development of young children. She coaches parents and professionals to develop the positive, resilient mindset needed to live with or work with children with challenging behaviors and learning needs. She consults with private and public education centers and schools, as well as parenting programs, to provide innovative, engaging learning strategies that can be implemented in any classroom or home setting to help all children reach their optimal developmental potential. Dr. Kelsey created a neurocognitive-developmental program called the Mindful Learning Model, which encompasses relational learning, relationship-building practices, mindful learning engagements, and a relational regulation model. These innovative and individualized educational programs support children with disabilities, developmental delays, challenging behaviors, and developmental trauma, and offer professional development and training opportunities for parents, teachers, and therapists in developmental milestones and relational education. Her coaching and consultative programs, along with her successful learning strategies for children, are sought after by public school districts, childcare centers, and parenting programs as an alternative approach to engaging with and educating children from birth to five years, as well as children with challenging behaviors and learning needs.</image:caption>
