Jeannie Thurston will present a brief introduction to the Trauma Smart program and then focus on Caregiver Affect Management to assist participants in understanding their own emotional reactions to infant's behaviors and the importance of managing their emotions through self-awareness and regulation skills. This presentation will increase participant's knowledge and use of self-care skills, particularly in times of stress so that they can provide calm, consistent, and responsive interactions with all infants, especially those impacted by trauma.
